Adventurer. Dreamer. Challenger of Status Quo.

“You may not be seeking therapy for support related to your gender, sexuality, open relationships, BDSM, body dysmorphia, invisible disabilities, chronic pain, experiences of oppression, existential or environmental dread, drug culture, or neurodiversity, [or you may] but you will not have to waste your time educating me about these realities or convincing me of their validity.”

The Counselor

In a safe and supportive atmosphere, I offer a highly personalized, integrative approach tailored to the individual needs of each client. I work collaboratively with clients to achieve a deeper understanding of self, improving relationships, developing effective coping strategies, changing negative patterns and taking action. I believe strongly that congnitive and behavioral changes alone do not promote true, long lasting change. Rather, that a holistic approach whereby modalities such as play therapy, somatic experiencing, mindfulness, and nature therapy are used in conjunction with psychoeducation, talk therapy, and behavioral approaches foster insight, growth, and change. Most importantly, I will work with you to maximize your ability to begin giving yourself permission to awaken to your own healing powers. I offer a safe place to explore. I offer tools to help track your experience and build on your strengths. I can help you work with the ways you hold past hurt, grief, or trauma, and support your natural ability to heal, allowing relaxation, connection, focus, and an increased capacity for joy.

The Guy

While I grew up in St. Louis, I journeyed out West for a bit, farmed in California and took long bike tours through our beautiful world to nurture my thirst for adventure and my perspective. In 2018, I found my way back to my family, St. Louis, and the University of Missouri-St. Louis where I obtained my Master of Professional Counseling degree. When I'm not counseling, family, friends, music, nature, and existential thought are my happy places. You might see me on my bicycle around town, kayaking, camping, or hanging at a local coffee shop. I have a true passion for considering all the possibilities and looking at anything and everything from every angle. Curiosity and possibility rule my thoughts, while synergistic attunement with people and place define my path. I believe in nurturing all parts of me and my life and look forward to bringing that to you!

Me + You

I know that finding the right therapist is hard. Therapy is vulnerable and often uncomfortable. Though emotional discomfort is a part of the deal sometimes, please know that my top priority is your mental, emotional, and physical safety and that you feel seen at a deeper level. The space I hold is intended to offer opportunities to explore new levels of knowing. The time is perfect for you to give yourself permission to shift in ways that has felt blocked in the past. You may not be seeking therapy for support related to your gender, sexuality, open relationships, BDSM, body dysmorphia, invisible disabilities, chronic pain, experiences of oppression, existential or environmental dread, drug culture, or neurodiversity, but you will not have to waste your time educating me about these realities or convincing me of their validity.
